American actress and ocean advocate Nina Dobrev has been announced as Oceana's newest ambassador, and stars in the charity's latest campaign to protect the world's sharks.

The Vampire Diaries star commented 'I am thrilled to join up with Oceana and help fight for healthy oceans. I've been fascinated by sharks for a while. They used to scare me, but once I realised what amazing creatures they are, I knew I needed to lend my voice to Oceana's campaign'.
